A 78-year-old woman died Saturday after she was struck by a van a day earlier while walking through a restaurant parking lot, St. Petersburg police said.
Nancy B. Livingston, of 1950 Glen Lakes Circle N., St. Petersburg, had left Arby's, at 3900 Fourth St. N., and was walking north across the lot to get to her vehicle, police said.
About the same time, a 2003 Dodge conversion van driven by Brooke R. Taborsky, 26, circled the building before stopping at the north entrance to the restaurant, police said.
Taborsky attempted to turn west before striking Livingston and knocking her to the ground, police said.
"Apparently neither Taborsky nor Livingston saw one another," according to a news release from the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Livingston's head hit the ground, and she was transported to Bayfront Medical Center in life-threatening condition, police said.
She died at 1:23 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Police said there were no charges against Taborsky, of 2919 12th St. N., St. Petersburg.
