    After inspection, it's all fun and games at fair

    The rides have been checked out, the midway is approved, and someone, somewhere is readying a whole lot of oil for deep frying.

    Yep, it's time for the state fair.

    The fair runs today through Feb. 20 at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. 301 N. Weekday ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12 years old. On Saturday and Sunday, the prices are $12 for adults, $6 for children. Kids 5 and under get in free.
