The anti-prom: A teen anti-prom will be held at 6 p.m. at the Land O' Lakes Library, 2818 Collier Parkway. It's for those who hate the craziness of a prom, getting a date, the clothes and other frivolities, plus the expense. Celebrate all things non-prom, trashed decorations, snacks, monster-spiked punch and free admission. Don't bring a date, don't dress up and come dance to songs spun by DJ Alex Noize.

Jam at the jamboree: The Orange Blossom Jamboree Music and Art Festival will be held today through Sunday at the Sertoma Youth Ranch, northwest of Dade City, off County Road 41. More than 30 bands will perform throughout the weekendThe event will include artists, vendors, food, handmade items, drum circles, nature trails and a campsite contest. Check out the rec center: The New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center, 6630 Van Buren St., will hold a free open house from 8 to 9:30 a.m. IHOP Restaurants will serve free pancakes. A ladybug release is planned, along with a touch-a-truck event, more than 30 booths with local community service groups, demonstrations, prizes and more. Dog, pony, truck show: The second Dog and Pony Open Benefit Car and Truck Show presented by Ford of Port Richey, 10715 U.S. 19, will take place beginning with registration from 9 a.m. to noon. Awards will be announced at 3 p.m. No entry fee will be charged; a donation of $15 worth of dog or cat food or pet supplies is requested. A prize will be awarded to the person who brings in the most dog or cat food. There will be free drinks, hot dogs and chips. Adoptable dogs will be on display. Hop on your chopper: The Shops at Wiregrass will host its monthly bike night from 5 to 9 p.m. at the outdoor mall, 28211 Paseo Drive, at the corner of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and State Road 56. Meet an author: A book talk and signing will be held at 11 a.m. at the New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St. Author Coco Ihle will talk about how the quest to find her birth family led to her book, "She Had to Know," and a publishing contract.
Get a day off from the kids: The Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department is offering "Parents Day Off" from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Land O' Lakes Recreation Complex, 3032 Collier Parkway. Cost is $20. Children ages 6 to 11 are eligible. They will play games, watch movies and do arts and crafts. Lunch will be provided.
Help the Wildcats: The Wildcat Prowl and Auto Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wesley Chapel High School, 30651 Wells Road. Presented by the Wesley Chapel Athletic Booster Club, the expo will include events for all ages, including inflatables and performances, face painting, carnival booths, games and prizes and plenty of food. Buy some lemonade: In their continuing efforts to battle childhood cancer, the Honor family will host its Fifth Annual Alex's Lemonade/Coffee Stand from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at The Town Hall Green, 3141 Deland St., next to Downtown Longleaf in New Port Richey. The event also will include lemon-themed games for the neighborhood children.

Boat safely: National Safe Boating Week is held annually during the third week of May, encouraging safe boating and wearing life jackets.
Coast Guard Auxiliary Hudson Flotilla 11-7 will hold a Safety Expo and free vessel safety checks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park Hudson ramp. There will be exhibits on life jackets, righting and reentering a life raft, fire extinguishers and flares and a Damage Control Center from Sector St. Pete. The boat safety check will offer information about problems that might be a violation of state or federal regulations and provide boaters with additional safety tips. Dinner and show: A dinner and show will start at 3 p.m. at New Lakes in Regency Park, 8330 Civic Drive, Port Richey. Fashion for a cause: The Alzheimer's Family Organization will present its annual Alberta's Garden Fashion Show on June 14 at the Heritage Springs Country Club, 11345 Robert Trent Jones Parkway.
